Powerline Mod Questions, Free flow exhaust?

I know this is a rare question since only a few of us did this mod. But those of you who have more experience in exhaust design could know the answer.

Who ever did the mod, did you cut the center tube out of the side where it goes into the one upper can? I left it in because I figured I would want a little back pressure considering that once you do the Vmod its basically a free flow exhaust. Which I'm sure the Vmod messes up the velocity as well but that is another point.

The inner tube is 1 3/4 inner diameter. If I cut it out, the exhaust diameter becomes 2 1/2 inches. That then basically flows into the gutted can which is roughly 3 1/2 inch diameter. With an 1130cc motor I feel that is way to open. I'm asking because Im getting ready to dyno tune the bike. I want to make the cut now if I have to.

Anyone think the 1 3/4" inner tube is plenty for the bike? I know the header tubes are 1 3/4" themselves, however that one small point of restriction should be nothing compared to what the baffles must have added.

The pic shows the smaller 1 3/4" inch tube Im talking about.
