I recently upgraded my front fork springs to the progressive non lowered on my VRSCF (With the USD forks)
I had the local dealer do the work, I asked them to use heavy duty oil, when the bill came no oil was listed so I'm not sure what they used, I thought they would put the screaming eagle stuff in.
I've just got back from a long trip over several days and its still not right.
1. Smooth roads with nice corners are great
2. Bad roads with lumpy tarmac the front bounces back at me.
3. Pot holes still bottom the forks out.
I am 207 pounds
Am I correct in assuming that point 2 means I need to drop to a lighter grade fork oil and point 3 would be solved by heavier springs?
