2003 Vrod bogging when warm.

Hi All, I recently purchased a stock 2003 anniversary edition Vrod with 1300 kms on it. The bike runs great and has tons of power when I first start riding. Once the bike gets hot it starts bogging really badly. If I rev it out the bogging stops but once i let off it starts again. I'm most likely going to bring it in to a mechanic but I wanted to see if there are some relatively easy things I can check fisn't to try and correct the issue.
