The coolant minefield

I have just ordered a new water pump and gasets / o rings as mine is leaking coolant from the weep hole. I replaced just the gaskets and o rings last November but having not done many miles since due to crap weather it is leaking again, so following advice on here, I am now changing the water pump as well.
My question is around coolant. I have read many threads on here on this topic but most are a couple of years old.
I am in the UK. What's the latest opinions on which coolant?
I have been running with HD coolant but the amount of gunge in the water pump housing was amazing. I have read that Evans is best, Engine Ice is best, Honda coolant is best, any blue coolant is best and the latest I have read is a yellow coolant is best.

What you guys reckon?
