Hose Diameter

Can anyone tell me the diameter of the hose going to the top of the water pump please?
I replaced my water pump and gaskets but over tightened and messed up the hose clip when reassembling.
Need to replace hose clip but not sure what size to buy. I don't have a vernier but using a steel rule, the hose looks around 1.5 inches diameter.

Does this sound about right?
