If you long for a V-Rod that can go Sport Touring, this is the bike for you. The bike started out as a 2006 VRSCR StreetRod. I chose this bike because it was the only model in the V-Rod line that was built to corner. I then added the features necessary to transform it into a good sport touring platform. Consequently, this is a rare bike that was given a rare makeover; I've only seen two others on this forum that were modified similarly.
I bought this bike new in 2006 and it has been my primary bike ever since, visiting most of the contiguous 48 states and most of Canada. While this will probably be the highest-mileage StreetRod you find (either here or on CycleTrader), the bike has been meticulously maintained and will provide at least another decade of good service to the next owner. I wouldn't hesitate to ride it cross-country tomorrow. My only reason for selling is garage space; I really only have room for two bikes.
Included in the sale price are the three service and parts manuals, a couple of quarts of HD Syn3 oil, two oil filters, and various extra hardware for some of the installed accessories, including the software CDs for the HD Race Tuner and Twintec Twinscan software. Finally, I have the all the service records for the bike and all the documentation for the installed accessories. I also have an electronic record of service and trip information, which I'm including in a Excel spreadsheet file.
At an additional cost, I have the original rider and passenger seats available.
If you want to test ride the bike, bring along your gear and your driver's license with the cycle endorsement. The bike is in Ann Arbor, MI.
In addition to the standard condition photos of the bike, I have two photos of it out in the wild and one (the last) photo of it in its original state before modifications began.
