I am half way accross the globe from most of you guys. The Night rod and VRods are rare.. needless to say there is no steady supply for maintenance parts etc.
Bike has done (17k in total) 4k on Repsol v-twin 20w50 semi-synthetic, which is what Repsol says is made for harleys and other cruisers. Since our weather is hot, i am not keen on adding stress of old lube.
Previously i used to carry oil back from my international trips but now airline baggage restrictions prevent it.
I have found an Amsoil dealer with limited supplies. He has Amsoil V-Twin 20w40 and will not have v-twin 20w50 for several months.
Will I screw things up by using this oil temporarily, if i use it until i get the right oil?
