Over the last 3 weeks i have been struggling with my bike stuttering at around 7-8k RPM as is widely discussed on multiple posts. I have spent maybe 50 hours reading as many of the thundermax posts as i can to try and identify what could be causing it???? It happens most of the time when i open it up and hold it and like all the other posts it usually gets past it after about 5 limiters. Im running map 558 and have put about 800 kms on the tune.
*Ive been over the wiring front to back back to front
*Checked the exhaust gaskets and flanges
*my map seems to be healthy according to the control center stats
*New plugs
*Fully charged and recently new battery
*IAT sensor relocated to avoid wandering temps when idling
*Repacked the muffler
*Ive run a monitor and send it to thundermax support, little help
The bike is a 2010 VRSCDX with a K&N filter and Danmoto 2 into 1 exhaust.
The bike runs really well with good down low pick up but once it starts to rev (7k+rpm) it almost always cuts out leading to disappointment and frustration. I've read a lot of posts where people have ditched it and gone back to other tuners but im persistent and hoping someone has a few more things to try ???
Could it be timing ?
