After getting a bullshit answer from the seller of my two year old battery as to why it failed (he told me that a sealed battery shouldn't be used in a VROD because of the angled position doesn't keep the plates immersed in the battery fluid!), I bought a gel battery from another vendor and proceeded to take everything off and out of the way to install it. Here's where I should have slapped myself in the face........I spent 10 minutes trying to line up the air filter hold down bolt with the threaded hole in the throttle body. After many off color words, I decided to have a beer and sit down in the garage to ponder my problem. I KNEW that there had to be an easier way to get that damned thing threaded in and after the last swallow of my Michelob, it dawned on me. The knob comes off! I unscrewed it, threaded the shaft of the bolt into the anchoring hole, slid the air filter cover over it and then threaded the knob back on, securing it! How dumb did I feel???:soapbox:
