Bike won't start after trying to get it dyno'ed

I took my 2012 NRS to Steel Horse Performance Yatala Qld, Australia for a dyno. After two runs of revving the crap out of the bike it refused to start again. Seemed like a dead battery as it was trying to crank over but just drained the battery. So I forked over the funds for a new battery, the dude charged it for about an hour then tried again, same deal.

He put voltmeter on the battery and it was dropping down to 6volts every time he tried to crank the bike so told me the rectifier was dead.
He then refused to do any more work on the bike, charged me $300 for the battery and labour and told me to get it towed somewhere else. I had it to be picked up and taken to another mechanic (Daytona Powersports at Nerang).

These guys have had it for over a week and can't figure it out. They thought it might have been the starter motor so put another one in and connected yet another new battery directly to the starter with plugs out of the bike and the same thing happened, it cranks really slowly like the battery is dead.

So now they think it is "semi-ceased" or something and are going to strip the engine down to see what is going on. I can just see the bill getting bigger and bigger without even knowing what is wrong.

I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced anything like this or might have a clue as to what is wrong?
