I have searched these forums and the interwebs and can find similar issues but not mine per se. However I could be missing it. Like info overload. Hopefully someone can direct me one way or another that would be great.
I have a 2012 V-Rod Muscle. Had the pipes replaced with V&H when I bought it and had it tuned. Otherwise it is stock.
Last winter the bike would not start in the morning. It will try to turn over but it seems there is just not enough juice in the battery to start the bike. So I figured the battery was bad so I replaced it. But still had the same problem with the new battery. I put it on a trickle charger over night and it seemed to clear the problem.
I had to replace the battery again a few months ago cause the Vegas heat kills batteries and during this summer it started fine. Now it is getting into the 40's at night again and the bike will not start in the mornings even with being on the trickle charger all night. I have to hard jump the bike to get enough juice to start it. Once I get it started it starts all day no problems at all.
From my searches I have read about a Air Intake Temp. Sensor and that might be the problem. I have not replaced it yet and would like more insight into the issue before I move forward. Something easy I am missing maybe.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
