Front turn signals stop working when bars straightened

I have an odd issue with my front turn signals. When my bars are turned left when the bike is parked the front signals light up and work fine. When I straighten the bars the front signals stop working. They only seem to work when the bars are turned to the left. The rear signals work fine, all the time. Could this be a wiring issue or an issue with the turn signal module?
