So after many years of the VRSCA being out there, what are the opinions of V modding the stock curved exhaust vs. slip on's? I wanted my first Harley so I bought a 2003 with 7000 miles for $5K with stock everything except paint. To start I didn't know there was an inner and outer baffle in the exhaust. Now I know what it was I hit when drilling the existing holes for the 8 hole mod. I recently purchased a Vance & Hines used tuner off someone that had a 2004 V-Rod since he was getting rid of it and am looking for direction on way to go. I already did the drilling of 8 holes around the opening and would like it louder. Existing power is enough for me really. I have yet to install the tuner as I like to plan things out since I am too damn analytical. I was going to buy a K&N air filter and seen neg. posts about it. I can't see there being much difference with the air cleaner change as every K&N I have had on my car and or truck showed no difference other than worse mileage. I'm guessing it's a whole new world with a Harley V and fuel management. So with that being said, Fire Away!
