12'+ Fork Options/Covers/Gaitors/Dust Seal Covers

First off, our forks are considered 49mm....correct? If that is the case, any reason aftermarket parts like I added below wouldn't fit? I've been looking for black neoprene fork gaitors as an easy way to black out the lower chrome portion of our forks. But am seeing lots of parts for other Harley models with 49mm forks. Like say on the tube section between the trees. Have found several options for 49mm forks. If the V Rod has less room between the trees, a pair for another bike could be trimmed to fit. Am I wrong?

What about the fork seal trim ring? Are those specific to model or will one for say a touring bike or Dyna with 49mm forks work on ours?

Or the section below the lower tree.....

Just looking for options and ideas to give the factory NRS forks a better look. Worst part of the bike IMO. I have both fork tubes out now, wanted to check the head stem bearings. All good, just need fresh grease. New bars will be here soon so will be dressing that area up as well as the headlight area. Now looking at the forks themselves. I've seen the full fork cover setups the German's have, way too expensive for what they are selling. Would rather piece together parts like shown above (examples only) for a different look.
Thoughts?
