Exhaust shields - typical temps ?

I'm looking at getting some liquid-vinyl type aerosol to cover a few smaller bits on the bike. According to the spec, it can cope with temps up to 150 deg C before it starts to degrade.

Half thinking about trying it on the exhaust heat shields and rear silencer cans. Anybody any idea what kind of operating temperatures they reach ?
