Hey guys, I've been lurking for just over 2 weeks and had this bike for just over 3. It's my first Harley and I haven't had this much fun since I was on my SS a few years back. I made the switch for the comfort. However it'd be good to have some storage. I've got a universal tail bag that fits/works but it's all wrong, and kills my passenger seat. There is a guy a few hours away with a set of V Rod Sport Bags but he has the wrong mounts for my bike- buying a new set of mounts from HD kills the deal.
I've got a buddy with a Road King I think it's an 06. Anyway he has these bags, in fact has an extra set- and I really like them.

Has anyone used these or similar Road King bags on their bike here?
Looking at the back of the bags, the shock angle looks wrong to me..
I have done some searches, and looked at several threads and seen a variety of bags. If someone has used these bags or similar I'd love to see a build thread or some photos and details of what was done for mounting..
There's lots I'd like to do to this bike, but storage is a priority right now.
