I don't really know the proper language for what's wrong with my bike... But, i will try to explain!!
Bike went to HD to investigate. HD says it needed a new main drive seel (I think).
Seel was ordered, but when they went to install it, they noticed that
The roller bearing cage is cracked and the bearings are pooched, and there is metal fragments in the oil....
The quote was 7k minimum, and when they get in there, there may be more scoring on additional parts.
I'm looking for alternatives, suggestions, a new crate motor...willing to go to the US, but northern states.
Right now my bike is worth $000. Harley flat out said they do not want to do the repair.
Ideally I would love a brand new engine.
And what I don't know is :up to what year vrod engine will fit my 04 frame.
