I'm starting a conversion with plans on adding some 14 & up bags using a widened OEM FLH fender, the stock 14&up mounting struts, etc. Anyone tried this? Any known pitfalls? I can't figure out why CV put the bags so far forward in their conversion kit. From pics of members who've mounted stock FLH fenders on the 180 bikes I think the look alot better than the CV add on lower fender.
