Happy New Year Muscle V-Rodders!,
I have to ask you guys a question being all of you are muscle enthusiasts, and I would some as experts as well.
My question pertains to front end questions:
I bought my 09' muscle a little less than 2 years ago(19months ago), and I have gone through 2 seperate front wheel issues. Both having to do with bent wheels. The roads in Massachusetts are horrendous, I just sent my front wheel out to be re-bent along the outer front lip. Found a guy onFAcebook and have heard is highly recommended (not sure if I should post hid website for security reasons).
My question is:
Are Vrod Muscles more prone to bent rim issues because of the angle on the rake of the bike. The rake Ive noticed, seems to be angles more than rather some traditional Harley Davidson rakes. Im not saying that Harleys, or motorcycles are not prone to front bent wheel damaged, BUT...2 TIMES IN A ROW(in my situation), seems a BIT ODD!..Do you think it may have anything to do with any sort of front fork/front tube issues, or suspension problems.
As I pulled off the front wheel and sent out the wheel to get serviced. I noticed a small crack along the thread of my front AXLE!!..Coincidental or Just BAD Luck?,..Im hoping the further, never the latter! Please HELP with Any Expertise or Comments!..Im guessing, the rake on these bikes are susceptible to front wheel damage,right?..hmm? Thanks guys!
