Hi All,
Not sure if this belongs elsewhere, but mods feel free to move it, as I don't think this is a VRSCF specific issue. From what I've read, all V-Rods come with a slipper clutch from factory (?).
Mine is a 2013 VRSCF with 10,2xx miles. I have used the Harley Synthetic 20W-50 first and 2nd oil change. Never had any issues with this. I replaced the oil/filter with Amsoil V-Twin 20W-50 and also flushed clutch fluid with synthetic DOT4 Valvoline (or maybe it wast Preston - can't remember now).
1 - clutch fluid looked awful. It was a gray / murky color with light film of oil floating on top of fluid. Now with about 100 miles on new fluid, it looks exactly the same - haven't removed cap to see if oil is there or not. I flushed until clear. Is this yucky fluid normal?
2 - Is the throw-out bearing a concentric, fluid-filled TO bearing and slave cylinder all in one? I.e., is it possible engine oil and clutch fluid are mixing somehow?
3 - Clutch does not slip, but now when I am engaging the clutch and applying throttle at lower rpms, I can feel the clutch lever and also hear a distinct high pitched buzzing. In 2nd to 4th gear, 2500-3000ish rpms.
4 - I do NOT make habit of dragging clutch like that, but I'm at Myrtle Beach Bike Week and lots of traffic, low speeds, lots of speeding up and slowing down, so lots of gear changes, etc.
What's causing the buzzing. I've read this post - i.e., yes I have searched....and searched and searched and searched and come up with only the below:

which seems to say this is a normal thing for V-Rods, but I've never felt this on my bike before. Is this normal? Is there something wrong with my bike? It seems coincidental that this began after changing the oil and clutch fluid. Amsoil is better than the Harley oil all the way around, right?
Thanks for any insight or help here.
