I am currently talking to a company ( no names until I make sure its OK through the Forums) on making a quick shifter for the V rods, both forward and mid control.
This company has been around and I got the chance to work with one of there techs on making a quick shifter for my 2002 Ducati 998 and have done a few track days on it already and street use. It has been flawless. They have QSs for newer Ducati's but not the older ones at that time.
These units are usually plug and play and no cutting required. On my 998 it was a little different but all we had to do was take the ground wire out of the plug on both coil packs and replace with the ones on the quick shifter harness..
The ballpark price is 239.95 +/-. Need to see what the cost of the special plugs if any for the V rod.
The box still needs to be made and timing and sensitivity worked out.
I am assuming the unit will work like the Ducati one as there is an app that can be installed on your phone to make adjustments to the unit to both sensitivity and cutout time.
Once sensitivity and cutout are figured out the units will more then likely be shipped with settings that work all around but still adjustable per each persons needs.
Let me know on this thread if this is something you would be interested in.
Thanks
Ron
