About to purchase imported VROD from USA and VIN search comes up with nothing?

Hi Guys,

I'm about to purchase a VROD VRSCB in Australia from a reputable dealer. Apparently this bike as imported from the USA but they dont have any books with the bike i.e original handbook or service book. I have attempted to run a history check using the VIN however nothing comes up? I'm just worried that this bike could have been in an accident or that it has had the clock wound back. Any help would be appreciated as im due to pay 14 grand tomorrow for this bike. Cheers guys
