03 A teardown and improvements

So this started with me deciding I needed tires and an oil change. Lol

Started by getting the bike on the stand...... and saw a little leak coming from the bottom of the stator cover..... bummer. Rtv and new gasket time.

Next removed the rear covers and loosened the rear axle up. Pulled the belt off and found some nice chips out of the teeth on the belt. New belt time.

Pulled the rear tire off and last but not least I found the compensator side wheel bearing is shot and close to freezing up........ so now it is time for rear wheel bearings. Amazed I didn't notice this on my last ride.

Now I am in a conundrum....... trying to decide if I should stay 180 or try to move to budget 240 mod.

Anyone have a good outlet for wheel bearings, Harley gets an arm and a leg for them. Also gotta order another collet to pull them out.

I am thinking about just doing a 28tooth front pulley with a new 149t belt (I have to replace the belt anyways)

Anyone know if the 40014-04k is still available. Ronnies is showing I can order it still.

I love the look of the wider rear but I also do mainly corner carving riding. So I'm not sure.....
